Member Lounge

The Member Lounge at Clearwater has not only hit the mark with golfers – it has won a prestigious building award.The lounge was placed top of the Tourism and Leisure section of the Canterbury Registered Builders 2007 Commercial Project Awards.The 250 sqm lounge has several superb design features. These include several Canterbury stone fireplace surrounds, internal and external detailed timber flooring and ceiling, and a striking leather and copper-clad bar. The use of split rock, feature stone walls and natural timbers continues the theme of the rest of the resort.The Member Lounge provides excellent views of the 18th green and down the fairway, which is ideal during the BMW NZ Open and other events. As a corporate facility the venue can host up to 120 people. An extensive decking with an all weather louvered roof in four sections, and two gas fires keep members and their guests comfortable while another four gas fires inside ensure warmth all year round. The members facilities include large changing rooms.

Joining Clearwater

Membership of Clearwater Golf Club Limited takes the form of a preferential shareholding which is willable, transferable and saleable. Once a share has been purchased then the member must pay an annual membership fee to retain their playing privileges.

There are a number of membership categories available including, individual, family and corporate. In some cases the total number of membership shares in a particular category are sold out.
